Dr. Yomi Oshinowo received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He received his clinical and specialist training at the Emory University hospital, one of the most prestigious family medicine programs in the United States of America, situated in one of the top 100 hospitals in the USA. He attained Scholastic Honor in being elected as Chief Resident of the residency program 1n 1998. Prior to becoming the Director of emergency Medical Services at George H Lanier Dr. Oshinowo, was in private practice in Roanoke, Alabama and served as president and director of Tri-County Family Practice from 1999 – 2011.
He has also worked as an emergency room physician in various prestigious hospitals such as the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in Lagrange, Georgia, St Francis Medical Center in Columbus Georgia – a formidable and Nationally acclaimed Cardiac and Stroke Center of Excellence from 2005 t;o 2015, as well as George H. Lanier hospital in Valley, Alabama from 2003 to date. He also served as the Director of Emergency Medicine at the Randolph Medical Center in Roanoke, Alabama and George H. Lanier Hospital in Lanett Alabama.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and is Board certified in Family Medicine, by the American Board of Family Physicians. He is licensed to practice in the States of Alabama and Georgia.
He is a certified Instructor and Provider of services for American College of Cardiologists in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and American College of Pediatrics in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Advanced Life Support. He is also a certified provider of services by the American College of Surgeons in Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Dr Oshinowo’s Personal Viewpoint and Philosophy:
Being a family physician is a great privilege and carries with it great responsibility. It is not a part time job. It is a full time calling to which I have devoted my professional life to date—-a decision I made as a youth. To me it is the most interesting, challenging, and personally rewarding of all professions. Being a family physician is a rare privilege.
Dr. Saka Kazeem is the director of EHS Endocrinology Service. He is the Chief of Endocrinology at Kingsbrook Medicine Center in Brooklyn New York and the Medical Director of aCenterlight Health Systems. Dr. Kazeem is an expert in the field of Diabetes Management. He has full expertise in all advanced diabetes care using the most up to date technologies. He has vast field of expertise in all aspects of thyroid disease. He has extensive administrative and leadership experience in all aspects of healthcare.
Olusegun Apata, MD, FCCP, FAASM, is a quadruple board-certified Internist, Pulmonologist, Critical Care & Sleep Specialist. He has a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (1st Class Hons / Summa Cum Laude), and a medical degree with distinction in Pathology, from Obafemi Awolowo University, formerly University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Dr. Apata is an assistant professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and a staff pulmonologist, intensivist and sleep specialist at Methodist Hospitals, NW Indiana and Advocate Trinity, Chicago, where he was Chair of Critical Care Dept. He has served in leadership positions at several institutions, including Assistant Chair of the Medical Education & Library Committee at Methodist Hospitals, NW Indiana. He is currently Pulmonary & Critical Care Director at several hospitals in Chicago & NW Indiana. Dr Apata is married with 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren. He is actively involved in Community Health, giving presentations, and health motivational speeches. He has written several community-based articles on Sleep & Respiratory related topics in local publications.
Dr. Apata’s motto as a Practitioner is “more restful nights & less breathless days.” He has a passion for helping his clients quit smoking (currently, the #1 preventable cause of death in the U.S,A). He plays an active role in mentoring young doctors and goes on medical missions. He has pledged to facilitate locally led solutions to one of America’s most difficult health problems (hospital re-admissions) and to help keep our roads safe through patient and community engagement in improved sleep health. On the international front, he is actively working with local health care providers in Nigeria in the Sleep Medicine sector. Dr Apata is a recipient of multiple awards and a fellow/member of several professional organizations, including American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), & Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA).His hobbies include playing the drums, music, racquetball, table tennis, reading and traveling among others.
